Poetry and visual art workshops are taking place between May and August 2026 in venues across North Solihull, including Chelmsley Wood, Smithswood and Kingshurst. If a young person you know would be interested in taking part in the project, book onto one of our workshops below!

Chelmsley Wood Library
Led by ex-Birmingham Poet Laureate Casey Bailey and mural artist Millie Yarwood, with support from artist India Birtwisle, this weekly workshop series gives participants the chance to express themselves, learn new skills, and leave a lasting mark on their community. For ages 11-18, these summer workshops will co-design a mural to be installed in the Den, located inside Chelmsley Wood Library itself.
